In The Time of Big Boys: A Solo Sketch Comedy Show is a collection of wacky character bits and thought provoking sketches about man-children; immature, un-self aware, desperate and/or non-therapy’d men who just can’t help but ruin the world (with some other ones sprinkled in there for variety).

About
Alex Beeken has been obsessed with improv, sketch and sometimes stand up comedy since 2017.
A longtime volunteer at Kickstand Comedy in Portland, he has been a regular character guest in their bit shows such as the Aardvark Hour and guest host on Secret Aardvark.
He has been on numerous Portland improv teams most notably the explosive musical improv team Cliffbanger and long form group Leave A Penny.
Alex has also produced a number of his own improv podcast projects including Friends with Formats, Work Life Ballad and Weird But Good.
Alex has been a member of sketch teams such as the experimental local tv show Show Ridiculous and the avante guarde troupe Dirty Shirley.
In 2021 he coproduced the wacky futuristic/political themed sketch show Death Cult: A Fun And Flirty Sketch Show which made it into the 2022 Portland Sketch Festival. Alex moved to Vancouver, BC in late 2025 and hopes to get even weirder and more ambitious with his comedy as he settles in Canada.
